Questions people ask
- How does the recipe matcher work?
- Every recipe lists its required ingredients. When you tick what you have, the engine checks all 150 recipes at once and sorts them by how close you are: ready to cook, one ingredient away, or worth a shopping trip. It runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Your pantry and saved recipes live in your own browser. You can export them as a file from the Saved page and import them on another device.
- What are kitchen staples?
- Salt, oil, flour, butter, canned tomatoes and similar basics most kitchens keep. They count as on hand by default; you can switch that off under the pantry bar to see the strictest version of each match.
